Whitney Houston


Whitney Houston was born on August 9th, 1963 in Newark, New Jersey. She was a Film Actress and a singer. In the 1980’s Whitney had a record 7 number 1 hits on the billboard contemporary chart. By the late 1800’s she was one of the most successful singing stars in the U.S. Whitney released her first album when she was 22 after Clive Davis founded Whitney at a nightclub. She won a Grammy in 1986 for the song “Saving All My Love For You”. She then started the Whitney Houston Foundation for Children, which was a non- profit organization to help needy kids. In 1992 Whitney was on the top of the world and, married R&B singer Bobby Brown. Whitney started acting in 1992 by starring opposite Kevin Costner in the Body Guard. The Smash hit “I will Always Love You” from the Body Guard won a Grammy proving to be her biggest ever. She also won three Grammys including record and album of the year. In 1998 her rocky marriage, drugs, and health problems threatened to derail her career. Houston’s reputation sunk when all drugs, lifestyle excess, and bad behavior was caught on tape on Bobby Browns new show. In 2007 Whitney took a break, divorced Bobby Brown, and took full custody of her daughter Bobbi. In 2009 She released a comeback song “I look To You” .Then was approached to join as a judge on the X Factor but, unfortunately past away. She died on February 11th, 2012 in Los Angeles, the night before the Grammys. She is remembered as a music legendary star.
